***MAJOR CORRECTION TO THIS EPISODE***
This will end up being my first (so far) factual retraction. During today's Short Round, I made a statement that "an elephant bears only one calf in its lifetime."
This statement is false. Elephants are not now nor have they ever been under the Chinese One-Child Policy.
The statement should have been that elephants only bear one calf AT a time.
